Hughes Scramble closes the season!

Congratulations to the team of Matt McArdle, Eamon McAnuff and Benny McKay who carded a tremendous 41 gross, 30.3 nett to win the final competition of the year.  The gallant runners up were Brian Grant, Tom McGivern and Catherine McAnulty who shot 31.3.  The competition was kindly sponsored by Hughes Bookmakers who have been loyal supporters of the club since its inception.

Also presented on Sunday were the prizes for the winners of the ladies winter league.  This league was a tremendous hit with the girls and was hotly contested right down to the last card.  Final winners were the team of Antoinette McKay, Rosaleen O'Rourke, Pat McGovern and Bernie Somers.

This concluded the 2011 season, the course has been magnificent but is now in need of some rest and tlc so please be aware that should you wish to brave the cold and play a few holes, you may find it closed temporarily.  Thank you for your co-operation with this.
